Spring Into Action... De-clutter your Space
There are preventive measures one must commit to on a daily basis to keep from being buried under the clutter that impedes our space everyday. It does take a little up front ingenuity to create storage. Once the system is in place it will be an easy process to prioritize and follow.
Junk-mail, letters and bills
Hooks, hangers and baskets are all that’s needed to keep the clothes piles from taking over your bedroom. Mounting several hooks on the wall behind the door is a quick place to hang outfits only worn once and for housecoats and pajamas you need to get to daily. Force yourself to hang your clothes up daily this prevents them from wrinkling and your bedroom from looking like you don’t have any hangers. Find an attractive clothes hamper and tuck it into a corner of your room, when you can no longer stuff clothes in it, time to transfer those clothes to the laundry room basket. An indicator that you need to do the laundry is when the laundry basket is full. Again, take just a few minutes each day to gain control over your clothes so they don’t take over your bed.
Tip top of the Refrigerator
This is one area that is hard to resist putting everything on, just a quick grab away! Cereal Boxes and bags of chips do not go with any décor. Instead add kitchen jars filled with cereal and some old enameled kitchen containers with interesting plates on stands, how about absolutely nothing! Do an overview of the kitchen appliances on your countertops, unless it is put to use everyday place it in a cabinet until you need it. Visually your kitchen will look immediately un-cluttered and provide you with more workspace on the countertops.
Kitchens are the heartbeat of a home; make sure the appearance is homey and not chaotic with clutter.
